Chikina Fire Response Transitions to Monitoring

The Chikina fire response made a transition to monitoring mode Thursday and demobilization of fire crews continued after successful burnout operations this week. And while smokey skies continued to plague McCarthy, the threat of the fire jumping the Chitina River has been significantly reduced. KCHU's Erik Wander has more:
