Birds to Blame for Power Outages

When birds, animals or other objects come into contact with energized electrical equipment, Copper Valley Electric Association's protective devices detect a fault and shut down the system to prevent damage to electrical equipment. That, according to CVEA, is what happened when three recent outages left members without power for short periods earlier this month. KCHU's Erik Wander has more:
