Glennallen Elementary a Blue Ribbon School
Each year since 1982, the U.S. Department of Education has sought out schools nationwide where students attain and maintain high academic goals, designating those that do as "Blue Ribbon Schools." The department announced last week that out of more than 120,000 public and private schools in the nation, 314 achieved that status this year. Three schools in Alaska received the honor, including Glennallen Elementary School. KCHU's Erik Wander has more:
