Eyak Lake Salmon Restoration
The Copper River Watershed Project, along with numerous community partners, is currently working on salmon restoration in Eyak Lake through 2010. The short-term goal of the project, which is funded in large part by a nearly one-million-dollar grant from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association, is to restore salmon habitat through five major construction projects scheduled for June. It will also update a 1985 Alaska Coastal Management Program collaborative study on Eyak Lake. KCHU's Erik Wander has more:
