Ocean Film Festival
For many in Valdez and surrounding communities, the ocean is a place upon which their livelihood depends. Others seek the sea for solitude or recreation. The 5th annual Alaska Ocean Film Festival explores our varied connections to the ocean with ten short films on saltwater adventure, marine science and coastal cultures. The traveling festival stops in Valdez next week. KCHU's Erik Wander has this report:
