Oil Spill Response Drill
The Alyeska Pipeline Service Company has three oil spill prevention and response plans it tests several times a year: a Valdez Terminal spill plan, a plan for tankers in Prince William Sound and a pipeline spill plan, covering everything from pump station one to the entrance to the Valdez Terminal. Alyeska conducted a coordinated response drill Wednesday from mile 19 of the Richardson Highway to Dayville road, which put the latter plan to the test. KCHU's Erik Wander has more:
