Port Authority Plans to Purchase FNG
The Alaska Gasline Port Authority recently announced plans to purchase Fairbanks Natural Gas, along with a 10-year contract to buy natural gas from ExxonMobil on the North Slope. The move could provide an energy bridge for communities beyond Fairbanks, as far away as Valdez, until longer-term solutions, such as the potential natural gasline, can be developed.
