Steller Sea Lion Research
A group of scientists have developed a new satellite transmitter that can help determine how, when, and where a Steller sea lion died. The University of Oregon project aims to provide a direct measure of predation and deliver information on causes of individual animal mortality. According to the researchers, preliminary data from five sea lions in Prince William Sound shows they were killed by predators. KCHU's Erik Wander has the story:
