Mummy Island Repatriation
The Native Village of Eyak has announced that an approximately one-acre parcel of land on Prince William Sound's Mummy Island was donated to the village earlier this month by a Portland, Oregon-based non-profit group. The Native Village of Eyak is characterising the land transfer as a repatriation of historically and culturally important tribal land, dating back thousands of years. KCHU's Erik Wander has more:
