Navy Public Hearing in Cordova

The Navy plans to designate portions of the Gulf of Alaska for live-fire naval training and to implement exercises that make extensive use of sonar, which has some environmental groups concerned about the effect on marine mammals. The Navy revealed its plans last week and early this week in a series of public hearings in Alaska, and is actively seeking public comment. Tonight (Tuesday night), the Navy's fifth and final public hearing is being held in Cordova. KCHU's Erik Wander has more:
