Avatar Adds Dimension in Valdez
The science fiction epic motion picture "Avatar" is smashing box office records the world over and recently garnered nine Oscar nominations, including one for best picture. Now the film has added a humble element to its growing list of achievements: the best-attended movie at the Valdez Civic Center. Last weekend, local audiences had a chance to decide for themselves whether the hype has been well deserved, and the Civic Center had the opportunity to showcase its new 3D capabilities.
