House Fincance Committee Denies MAP
The House Finance Committee this week rejected
an effort to provide funding for Marine Advisory Program agents slated to be
cut. Monday's 7-to-3 vote, in which the committee rejected a proposed amendment
to the state's budget, put the future of MAP offices in five coastal
communities across the state in doubt. Among those offices is one in Cordova.
