Copper River Commercial Salmon Slow to Start - 5/25/10
With four 12-hour openings
in the Copper River commercial salmon fishery having come and gone, the fishery
appears to be off to a slow start. But according to Fish and Game, it's still
too early to tell whether that slow start suggests a lackluster overall season
ahead or is merely indicative of a slightly late salmon return. And Fish and
Game biologists are encouraged that harvest numbers are beginning to pick up. KCHU's
