Copper Valley Electric Association published a pre-application public notice last week announcing its intention to acquire developmental licensing for the Allison Lake hydro-electric project. According to Copper Valley, Allison Lake has about 22 million kilowatt hours of energy potential per year. If the process goes as planned, that energy will reduce fossil fuel used to generate electricity by about 1.7 million gallons a year. KCHU's Erik Wander has more:
