More Bears in Valdez Attracted to Garbage
City officials say
Valdez residents are not taking proper precautions when it comes to storing and
disposing of their garbage. As a result, Animal Control has been forced to trap
and kill two black bears that had routinely been finding food in town, and they’re
currently trying to track down a third. The problem may also result in more
stringent enforcement measures next year. KCHU’s Erik Wander has more:
