Coast Guard Rescue Boaters Near Hinchinbrook - 6/7/10

The Coast Guard says boater preparedness resulted in another successful rescue in Prince William Sound this week. All four men rescued from a beach near Hinchinbrook Entrance were reported to be in good condition Monday evening, after a wave washed over the stern of their recreational boat and disabled it. It was at least the sixth search and rescue case this year for a helicopter crew deployed to Cordova to ensure speedy response during the busiest months for vessel traffic in the Sound.
