Cordova Coast Guard Cutter Deployed to Gulf - 6/29/10

Cordova-based cutter and its 42-member crew are the latest contributions from
the Coast Guard in Alaska to support oil spill cleanup efforts in the Gulf of
Mexico. But the Coast Guard says that while deployment of its personnel and
resources is an important part of response operations nationally, local
response capabilities will remain “adequate” in Alaska. KCHU’s Erik Wander has
