First of Summer's Major Pipeline Maintenance to Commence - 6/16/10
Alyeska Pipeline Service Company crews are
preparing for this summer’s first major maintenance shutdown on the
Trans-Alaska Pipeline System. During the weekend shutdown, a series of projects
is planned, including some work at the Valdez Marine Terminal. It also includes
work at Pump Station 9, which remains under 24-hour monitoring after a relief
tank overflowed at the site last month. KCHU’s Erik Wander has more:
