RCAC Asks Coast Guard to Leave More Resources in Alaska - 6/23/10
The
Prince William Sound Regional Citizens Advisory Council is asking the Coast
Guard not to pull too many resources out of Alaska to fight the BP oil spill in
the Gulf of Mexico. The Coast Guard last week called for a national inventory
of boats, booms and other equipment that could be sent to the Gulf. In a letter
of response, the RCAC said the amount of oil spill response equipment should
not fall below state requirements for Prince William Sound. KCHU’s Erik Wander
