Part of the readiness requirements for operating oil tankers in Prince William Sound is regular oil spill response training. SeaRiver Maritime—the shipping arm of Exxon Mobil—is partnering with Marine Safety Unit Valdez and other agencies this week to respond to a virtual spill in the Sound as part of the 2010 Prince William Sound area exercise.
