Gubernatorial Candidate Bill Walker

Now in the final week of campaigning before next week’s primary election, Alaska Republican gubernatorial candidate Bill Walker says his campaign has been energized over the last few months by people who want a governor who has a plan. That plan for Walker is building an all-Alaska gasline—a platform upon which he has based his entire campaign from the outset. In a phone interview with KCHU Wednesday, Walker said the most important questions facing the state are how to bring down the cost of energy and what to do about an oil pipeline he says accounts for 90 percent of the state’s income, and yet is two-thirds empty.
