McCarthy Area Bridge to Close for Repairs
The
state plans to temporarily close the Lakina River Bridge next month for
critical repairs. The bridge—located about 15 miles from McCarthy at milepost
44.3 of the McCarthy Highway—was damaged last month when a vehicle crossing it with
a heavy piece of equipment hit an overhead truss member. KCHU’s Erik Wander reports:
