Gilahina Fire UPD: Crews released from fire

Crews working on the Gilahina Fire were released Monday. The Alaska Interagency Coordination Center said the Whiskeytown Wildland Fire Module and other firefighters have completed their assignments. The crews will be be available to help other fires in the state and the country.
Except for burning pockets of residual fuel, the blaze 20 miles west of McCarthy has shown little activity since June 1st.
