Interview with US Rep. Don Young Part 1
By Tony Gorman
U.S. Representative Don Youg is in Whittier this week. The purpose of the trip is to open the second phase of the Shotgun Cove Road Project. The ribbon cutting ceremony was held Wednesday afternoon.
The Alaska Republican is also participating in a fundraising fishing trip through the Lu Young Foundation. It raises money for children who lost their parents to cancer. Foundation is names after Young's wife, who died in 2009. While the trip is for a good cause, Young has faced some criticism for not being in Washington, D.C., to deal with the national debt ceiling issue.
Young discussed the issue with KCHU's Tony Gorman in Part 1 of a two-part interview.
