Salmon Run renamed Lu Young Park

One of the trails in Whittier is getting a name change. The Salmon Run has been renamed Lu Young Park. The Whittier City Council voted unanimously on the change during this week's regular meeting. The City presented the honor to Congressman Don Young Thursday afternoon.
The name change is in honor of the Alaska Republican's late wife, who played a role in bringing the project. to Whittier.
