Coast Guard crews refloat Lively Jane

By Tony Gorman

The Lively Jane has been recovered.  Responders from the Valdez Marine Safety Unit raised the 56-foot seiner, Thursday, at low tide.  The vessel was later towed to Cordova for dry docking and repairs.

The Lively Jane grounded and sank in Anderson Bay six miles southwest of Valdez on July 13th.  The five-person crew safely escaped to a skiff before the incident occurred.
