Valdez School Board adjusts CIP

By Tony Gorman

Adjustments were made in the Valdez School District's Capital Improvement Plan.  On Monday, the Valdez School Board voted unanimously to approve the six-year plan that has the Valdez High School Roof Replacement Project at the top of the list.  The project costs over $3.7 million.

The Board made one change to the plan.  Sprinkler and water service repairs to Hermon Hutchens Elementary were moved from sixth to fourth on the list.  It replaces District-wide upgrades which were moved downed to the sixth spot.

School Board member Dave Lawrence was not present at time of the vote.
