Whittier certifies results from one race, two remain contested

So far, there is one official winner from the Whittier City Election. After counting questioned and absentee ballots on Tuesday, the city only certified the results from the Seat E race. David Pinquoch won the seat with 90 votes. His opponent, Billy Collins, has 56 votes.
Seat F is being contested. Outgoing Mayor Lester Lunceford received the most votes, but didn't formally run for re-election. His 69 votes beat candidates Shannon Tolmaon and Arlen Arneson.

The results for the lone proposition on the ballot were also not certified. Following the final count, 66 voters said yes while 64 said no. Thirty-four left the bubble blank. If the proposition passes, it will increase the mill rate from 5 to 8 mills.
According to City Hall, the issue will discuss at the City Council's upcoming meeting.
