Finalists named in Cordova Schools superintendent search

By Tony Gorman

The search for a new Cordova School District superintendent has been narrowed down to the final four.

Next week, the Cordova School Board will interview Kake City Schools superintendent Corrina Guardipee, Ingram (TX) Independent School District curriculum and instruction director Theresa Keel, and North Slope Borough assistant superintendent Elizabeth Parady for position.  The finalists will also tour the community and visit the schools.

Blackfoot (ID) School District assistant superintendent Chad Struhs was also named a finalist, but will not make the trip due to a prior engagement.

The School Board is expected to make a decision next Tuesday.
