Coghill discusses oil tax cut and natural gas during session

The oil tax issue is heating up as the Alaska Legislature heads into the final month of this year’s session. Lawmakers have been holding hearings and talks over Governor Sean Parnell’s plan to cut the tax in an effort to attract more business from major oil companies.
Senator John Coghill is proponent of the measure. The Senate Minority Leader is highly concerned because his district covers most of the Trans Alaska Pipeline System.
