BLM Glennallen's Cathy Leonard honored with national volunteer award

A volunteer at the Bureau of Land Management’s Glennallen Field Office has pick up a huge honor.  BLM announced Thursday that Cathy Leonard along with nine other received the national “Making a Difference” award.  The honor goes out to BLM most exceptional volunteers.

Leonard was chosen for the award because of her 12-hundred hours of volunteer work on the Sourdough Creek Campground.  She assists BLM in preparing and maintaining the grounds which rests in the Gulkana Wild and along the Scenic River.
